






Ms. Q serves as the Executive Director of Valley Crescent School. She holds an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership and brings over ten years of experience in K–12 education, focusing on supporting student learning, staff development, and school operations.
With over two decades of experience as a teacher and administrator, Sr. Malika believes deeply in nurturing every child’s potential. She works closely with families and staff to foster a caring, faith-based, and inclusive learning environment.
Ms. Sadaf brings over 25 years of Montessori and early childhood teaching experience. She is dedicated to fostering curiosity and independence in young learners through joyful, hands-on education.
Mrs. Cadenas, or Mrs. C for short, is the Kindergarten homeroom teacher. She graduated from Fresno State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and with a focus in special needs. Mrs. C works very hard to incorporate skills that will help students throughout their lives, showing students how to expand their minds and express who they are.
Sister Sadiyah is the first-grade homeroom teacher. She teaches math, science, social studies, and language arts to first grade, as well as language arts to 4th grade.
Nora Chergui is the 2nd grade homeroom teacher and teaches language arts to 2nd and 3rd grades. She has been teaching for 8 years and graduated at Brunel University in London with a bachelor's degree in Sports Science and postgraduate teaching degree in elementary school. Nora has taught in a variety of schools around London, with children from all different backgrounds. She finds great joy in seeing students grow, progress and achieve their full potential throughout their schooling years.
Sister Wafaa is the homeroom teacher for Third Grade. She will also be teaching math for grades 2-4. She is an educator with many years of experience and we are pleased to have her join our team!
Sister Nabila is the 4th grade homeroom teacher and teaches Islamic Studies to first through fourth grades. She spent two years at Jamia Islamia studying Tajweed, Hadith, Quran Tafseer, and Arabic Grammar and was awarded an ijazah in tajweed after graduating. After finishing her studies at the Jamia, she completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Pakistan.
Sana Alsaoudi is the 5th grade homeroom teacher and also teaches Science for grades 4th–7th.
Aziz Meqdad is a dedicated mathematics teacher with over 15 years of experience educating students from diverse backgrounds. Currently teaching at Valley Crescent School, he brings a strong passion for helping students achieve academic excellence while fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment grounded in Islamic values.
Aziz holds a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Secondary Mathematics from Brandman University and has taught Integrated Mathematics and advanced math courses at multiple high schools throughout California. His approach emphasizes clear communication, patience, and individualized support. He has also tutored students in math, science, and Arabic, mentored AP/college readiness students, and his fluency in Arabic enriches his connection with the school community.
Mrs. Hebah Abed teaches Arabic to different levels of students at Valley Crescent School. She is a former English teacher at Almajd Islamic School and taught there for 4 years. Sister Heba is set to graduate from Clovis Community College with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and has six years of experience teaching Arabic at VCS. She also teaches Islamic Studies for IC class.
Miss Lopez is the 8th grade homeroom teacher. She teaches language arts to 5th through 8th grades. Miss Lopez graduated from Fresno State University and has extensive experience as a teacher at local schools in the Central Valley.
Ms. Rasha is a 5th–8th Grade History teacher. She has been teaching for 4 years, worked with diverse backgrounds and needs, and graduated from Fresno State with a Bachelor’s in Education & Psychology. She has taught children ages 3–13 and is passionate about helping students learn and grow.
Basamat Ibrahim teaches Arabic for different grades this year. She graduated from Fresno State with a Bachelor's degree in Child Development. She worked in public school as a special education aide for 25 years, and has also been a private tutor for Arabic language, Islamic Studies and Quran for 17 years.
Mrs. Amat Alfadhli is an Arabic teacher catering to students of different levels at Valley Crescent School. She previously served as a weekend school principal and held the position of Arabic Department Dean for three years. With eight years of experience, she has been devoted to teaching Quran and Arabic classes and is currently working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education.
Sh. Hafiz Nazeer Ahmed teaches the hifz class afterschool. Since the age of 13, he studied under traditional and authentic sheikhs who have preserved the sacred tradition. Allah (SWT) has bestowed him fluency of 10 Qira'ahs of Quranic recitation, and memorization of the Quran at a very young age. His dedication to his students is shown through his hard work in the after school program.
